Popular Nantucket Bicycle Rides
Here is a list of our favorite rides. It should serve as a great introduction to riding a bike around Nantucket Island.
There is tons to do and see, so get out there and ride a bicycle!
Also, keep in mind, Nantucket can be windy so try and head out into the wind, and come home with a tailwind.
Sconset
Most people come to Nantucket and want to go out to Sconset. It is a beautiful ride that stretches up to 19 miles most of the way on wide paved bike paths. It is usually more fun to go out to Sconset via Milestone and come back via Polpis Bike path.

Madaket
Madaket is a great ride that stretches up to 12+ miles round trip most of the way on wide paved bike paths. Along the way there are beautiful views of ponds, moors, and the end of the road will give you a real sense of our changing coastline. You will encounter small rolling hills, but nothing too tough.

Dionis
Dionis Beach is a short 3.5 miles away and is a great ride to get you and the family to a wonderful family friendly beach. Along the way there are beautiful views of fields, and dunes. Follow the bike path all the way to the Beach! You will encounter two hills, but nothing too tough.

Surfside Beach
Surfside Beach is a short and flat 3.5 miles away. This is a great ride to get you and the family to a wonderful beach with waves, food, lifeguards and facilities. Follow the bike path all the way to the Beach! You will encounter two hills, but nothing too tough.

Young's Self Guided Tour
The Young's Self Guided Tour is a great 4.2 mile ride to take you around town. Along the way you'll see many of our historic sites including the Brant Point Lighthouse, The Oldest House, and the Windmill. The ride is mostly flat, and is great because it keeps you really close to town.
